Meet erika Veal, esq.

Erika Veal is the Founder of Your Legacy Attorney, PLLC, where she helps business owners, families, entrepreneurs, and wealth builders protect what matters most.

A proud graduate of Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Erika distinguished herself as Chief Justice of the Honor Court and as a board member of the James M. Douglas Board of Advocates. She also holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Radio & Television Production and Criminal Justice from Stephen F. Austin State University, and is also a graduate of the High School for Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice.

Erika’s career in the legal industry spans 20 years - starting as a legal assistant in high school through now being licensed to practice law in Texas, D.C., and Oklahoma. Before practicing law, Erika owned a successful photography business for 7 years, giving her unique insight into entrepreneurship and branding. She also understands probate on a personal level, having navigated the process after losing a loved one - an experience that drives her compassion for clients today.

A native Houstonian, Erika is passionate about supporting small businesses and the creative arts. When not helping clients with legacy planning, Erika enjoys photography, travel, and exploring Houston’s diverse food scene.
